The emphasis of the Worthington Softball Fall League is the positive development of the players, NOT winning and losing. This league offers a unique opportunity for younger players to gain valuable practice with older/more experienced girls, U8-U10 transition players to experience kid pitch prior to the spring season, and for current U10 girls to learn the qualities of leadership. The ages of the league are 7-10 and 11-14. Age is determined by the child's age at sign-ups for the previous season. Games will be every Saturday at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at the Worthington Little League Fields. Practices will be scheduled by the coach during the week. Games are 1 hr 30 minutes or 6 innings whichever occurs first. No new inning can be started after 1 hr 15 minutes unless there is a tie. Ties will go on until a winner is determined. There will be a ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY for unsportsmanlike behavior from both the coaches and fans. Softball is supposed to be fun at this age, and please inform your parents and all spectators that if any behavior considered to be poor sportsmanship is witnessed, fans and/or coaches will be removed from the premises at the discretion of umpire or park officials. |
